To comply with local rules and regulations, riding and parking zones may restrict where you can ride, your vehicle’s speed, or where you can park your vehicle.
In the Lime app, these zones appear as shaded areas outlined in red, yellow, or blue on the map. Depending on your location, you may encounter one or more of the following types of zones.
No go zones
Lime vehicles aren’t authorized to travel in No Go zones. On the map, these areas are indicated by red shading and a restricted symbol.
If you enter a No Go zone, your vehicle will gradually come to a stop. You must walk your vehicle out of the No Go zone to resume your ride.
Low speed zones
Your vehicle will gradually slow down when you enter a Low-Speed zone. On the map, these are indicated by yellow shading.
You can find the top speed in a Low-Speed zone by tapping on the yellow shaded area on the map.
No parking zones
Parking your vehicle in No Parking zones is prohibited. No Parking zones are indicated by red shading with a no parking symbol.
If you try to end your ride in a No Parking zone, the app will alert you of parking restrictions and help you locate nearby parking. Improperly parked vehicles may be subject to a warning or penalty.
Mandatory parking zones
Some cities require you to park in Mandatory Parking zones. On the map, these appear as blue parking pins.
When you end your ride, the app will alert you of parking restrictions and help you locate nearby parking. Improperly parked vehicles may be subject to a warning or penalty.
No locking zones
If your Lime Vehicle has a lock, avoid No-Locking zones. When you end your ride, the app will alert you of parking and locking guidelines and help you locate nearby parking. Improperly parked vehicles may be subject to a warning or penalty.
Service zones
A Service Zone is the rideable area within each city. On the map, this is shown as a green line with gray shading surrounding the zone.
If you try to exit the Service zone, your vehicle will gradually come to a stop. You’ll need to walk it back to the Service zone to continue your ride.
