In some locations, we may require you to park in specific locations to comply with city requirements.
Before you end your ride, you’ll be notified of local parking requirements. You may receive a warning or a penalty for improper parking, including in the following cases:
- Parking in a no parking zone. No parking zones are restricted areas where riders cannot end rides or park Lime vehicles.
- Not parking at a designated parking spot. Some cities require riders to park in designated parking spots.
- Blocking pedestrian walkways. We enforce this rule to ensure that everyone has the ability to use the sidewalk or footpath.
For the most up-to-date regulations for your city, refer to the map in the Lime app.
Mandatory designated parking spots
If you’re in a city where you’re required to park in a designated parking spot, use the map in the Lime app to find your nearest parking. Designated parking spots are indicated by a blue parking pin.
For more information on properly ending your ride, refer to this article.
No parking zones
Parking your vehicle in No Parking zones is prohibited. No Parking zones are indicated by red shading with a no parking symbol.
Refer to this article for more information on riding and parking zones and restrictions.
To avoid fines in the future, make sure to end your ride in a valid parking area and follow all steps to end the ride. Make sure to leave your vehicle parked upright, and out of the way of any pedestrian walkways.
