Adding or updating a payment method

Once you add a payment method to your account, you’ll be able to start riding. We accept the following forms of payment: 

  • Credit or debit card
  • Prepaid card
  • Apple Pay - selected locations
  • Google Pay - selected locations
  • Paypal - selected locations
  • Klarna - selected locations

Adding a payment method

  1. Open the app menu by tapping the icon in the top left corner. 
  2. Tap Payment. 
  3. Select the payment method you would like to add. 
  4. You can add your enter details manually or tap the camera icon to scan your credit, debit, or prepaid card. 
  5. Tap Done to save your payment.

Tap a payment method to select it as your default payment method. A green check mark will appear next to your default payment method. You can change this at any time. 

Updating or removing a payment method

  1. Open the app menu by tapping the icon in the top left corner. 
  2. Tap Payment. 
  3. Select the payment method you would like to update.
  4. Select a field to update your payment method and tap Done to save your changes. 
  5. To remove a payment method, tap Remove at the bottom of the screen. 

Paying with Lime Cash

Instead of charging your payment method for each ride, you can load funds in advance using Lime Cash.

To add funds to your Lime Cash balance:

  1. Open the app menu by tapping the icon in the top left corner. 
  2. Select Payment. 
  3. Select the Lime Cash option.
  4. Pick your desired amount to load to your Lime Cash balance. 
  5. Tap Add funds. This charges your desired amount to your default payment method. 

Your ride costs are automatically withdrawn from your Lime Cash balance. If the cost of your ride exceeds the amount in your Lime Cash balance, we charge the difference to your default payment method.

Automatically reload Lime Cash funds

Auto reload automatically loads an amount of your choosing onto your Lime Cash balance when it reaches $0.00, and additional funds are needed to pay for your ride. Enable auto reload when first adding funds to Lime Cash or at any time after by following these steps:

  1. Open the app menu by tapping the icon in the top left corner. 
  2. Select Payment. 
  3. Select Lime Cash. 
  4. Select Auto reload.
  5. On the next screen, tap On and select the amount you’d like to reload each time your Lime Cash balance reaches $0.00.

To disable auto reload:

  1. Open the app menu by tapping the icon in the top left corner. 
  2. Select Payment. 
  3. Select Lime Cash. 
  4. Select Auto reload.
  5. On the next screen, tap Off.
