Adding a Payment Method
To take a ride on Lime, you must first set up a payment method.
- Open the app menu by tapping on the icon in the top left corner.
- Tap “Payment”.
- On the following screen, select the payment method you would like to add.
- Enter and submit your payment details.
- Finally the app will show the Payment screen with your new payment method.
To make sure your new payment method is used as the default one for your upcoming rides, tap on the checkmark to the left of the payment method name. The app shows a green checkmark next to the default payment method. You can always change your default payment method by tapping on the checkmark next to the payment method of choice.
Using Lime Cash
An alternative to charging your payment method for each ride is loading funds in advance using a feature called Lime Cash.
To add funds to your Lime Cash balance:
- Open the app menu by tapping on the icon in the top left corner.
- Tap “Payment”.
- On the next screen, tap on the Lime Cash entry.
- Select the desired amount to load.
- Tap “Add Funds”. This charges the chosen amount to your default payment method.
Your ride costs are automatically withdrawn from your Lime Cash balance. When your balance reaches zero, you’ll need to add more funds. To save time, you can use Auto Reload. This automatically loads an amount of your choosing onto your Lime Cash balance when it’s consumed in full. To switch on Auto Reload:
- Open the app menu by tapping on the icon in the top left corner.
- Tap “Payment”.
- On the next screen, tap on the Lime Cash entry.
- Now tap “Auto reload”.
- On the next screen, tap “On” and then the amount you’d like to reload each time.
