In select cities, a new feature is available to riders for LimePass minute-bundle purchases: Auto-Reload.
Turn on Auto-Reload for your LimePass minute-bundle in your Wallet to automatically renew your LimePass if you run out of minutes mid-ride. One or more new bundles will apply retroactively to cover the cost of the entire trip.
Turning Auto-Reload on or off
You can turn on and turn off Auto-Reload in the Lime app by going to the Wallet > LimePass > Auto-Reload.
If you travel to a different city or if your LimePass becomes unavailable to you, Auto-Reload will automatically turn off. You’ll receive a notification any time this happens.
Auto-Reload renewal triggers
Auto-Reload will trigger and renew your LimePass minutes if:
- Your current LimePass minutes are completely used up mid-ride.
- Your LimePass is fully used (minutes reach zero) exactly at the moment you end your trip
Auto-Reload won’t trigger if:
- Your minutes expire, unused.
- Courtesy minutes were used as part of your ride.
In these cases, you may choose whether to purchase a new LimePass minute-bundle.
In the event of a price increase, notification will be provided before your next auto-reload purchase.
Group Rides
When you start a Group Ride, you (the host) are responsible for covering the cost of every rider in your group. The total minutes ridden by all members of your group are combined and deducted from your LimePass benefits.
For example, if you host a Group Ride with one guest and you both ride for 10 minutes, a total of 20 minutes will be deducted from your LimePass.
Please be aware that Auto-Reload won’t trigger if your minutes are consumed completely during an active Group Ride.
Payment and terms
If payment towards a new LimePass minute-bundle fails and you don’t manually purchase a new bundle, the rest of your trip will be charged at the standard rate.
Auto-Reload purchases are subject to the LimePass Terms and Conditions and the terms of your selected LimePass One-time Offer.
