Ride Pass Terms and Conditions
What is Ride Pass?
Ride Pass is a service which offers you the ability to purchase bundled unlocks, rides, and/or minutes in select markets. Ride Pass may be available to you as a one-time Ride Pass or as a subscription-based Ride Pass, with a choice of automatically renewing subscription durations (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, or another duration as stated) (“Billing Cycle”) as stated in your in-app or email offer (“Offer”). Offers are limited and subject to change.
Which terms apply?
In connection with the Services, you may purchase, activate, access, or otherwise use a Ride Pass, which is subject to these terms and conditions, the specific terms of your Offer, and Lime’s User Agreement, the terms and conditions of which are expressly incorporated by this reference (together, the “Ride Pass Terms”). Any undefined, capitalized terms will have the meaning set forth in the User Agreement. Ride Passes are offered to you by the Lime entity who provides you with Services under your User Agreement.
Updates to the Ride Pass Terms will be made with notice to you in accordance with section 8.20 of the User Agreement.
The Offer
Your Offer will include important details and terms, such as the fixed duration for a one-time Ride Pass, where and when a Ride Pass may be used, the benefit(s) conferred by the Ride Pass (e.g., whether unlocks are included in the Ride Pass and the total number of eligible unlocks, minutes, and/or rides for each Ride Pass, or the maximum duration of each eligible ride) (“Ride Pass Benefits”), the cost of the Ride Pass (“Rate”), and for a subscription-based Ride Pass, the Billing Cycle.
How does a one-time Ride Pass work?
When you buy a one-time Ride Pass (as stated in the Offer), you will be charged and agree to be charged the applicable Rate on the date of purchase. Your one-time Ride Pass will expire at the end of the fixed duration as stated in your Offer. On expiry or termination of your one-time Ride Pass any unused Ride Pass Benefits will be forfeited.
How does a subscription-based Ride Pass work?
When you buy a subscription-based Ride Pass (as stated in the Offer), the Billing Cycle (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, or another duration as stated) will automatically renew at the end of your first Billing Cycle and each Billing Cycle thereafter, unless you cancel before the date of your next Billing Cycle. You will be charged and agree to be charged the applicable Rate on the date of purchase for the first Billing Cycle and for each Billing Cycle thereafter in accordance with the Billing Cycle in your Offer and based on the initial purchase date. The first payment of the Rate activates the subscription-based Ride Pass and is the initial purchase date. The Rate will automatically be charged to your selected payment method.
You may cancel your subscription-based Ride Pass within the Lime App at any time prior to your next scheduled payment to avoid further charges. To do this, go to the Ride Pass section in the Lime App and cancel the subscription. If you cancel your Ride Pass, you will still have access to your Ride Pass Benefits until the end of the then current Billing Cycle.
If you fail to pay any amount due, we may with reasonable notice to you, cancel or suspend your Ride Pass in accordance with the terms in the User Agreement (see section 4.5 of the User Agreement).
Riding Minutes
A Ride Pass may include minutes that you can use with the corresponding Ride Pass service within the duration of the one-time Ride Pass or within a Billing Cycle in the case of a subscription-based Ride Pass (“Riding Minutes”). The amount of Riding Minutes used is calculated based on each eligible ride taken within the duration of the one-time Ride Pass or within a Billing Cycle in the case of a subscription-based Ride Pass, up to a cumulative total number of minutes which must not exceed the Riding Minutes identified as part of the Ride Pass Benefits in your Offer. Please refer to your Offer for details of Riding Minutes before purchasing the Ride Pass. Partial minutes are rounded up to the nearest whole minute. In the case of a reserved ride, a reservation fee applies unless the Ride Pass includes free reservations for the duration stated on the Offer at the time of purchase.
General Terms
Standard unlock fees, ride fees, and/or per minute fees apply after the Ride Pass Benefits are exhausted. Ride Pass has no cash value and is non-transferable. To the extent permitted by applicable law, unless otherwise set out in the User Agreement, any fees paid for a Ride Pass are not eligible for refunds or credit, whether used or not. Ride Pass is valid only in the country where purchased and only on Lime-owned electric scooters and electric bicycles. Ride Pass may not be available in all regions or to all users. Ride Passes cannot be combined, stored, resold or transferred, and are not valid with Lime Access, Group Rides, or with promotion codes or discounts. Lime may revoke a Ride Pass, with reasonable notice to you, if your Lime account has been flagged for any suspicious or fraudulent activity. If your Ride Pass is revoked and you are not at fault, we will give you a pro-rated refund of the advance charges already paid by you, based on the unexpired portion of the fixed duration for a one-time Ride Pass or the then current Billing Cycle for a subscription-based Ride Pass.
Free Trial
Unless you are a current or previous subscriber to a subscription-based Ride Pass (in which case you are ineligible for a Free Trial Offer), if your Offer includes a one (1) month free trial (the “Free Trial Offer”) that Free Trial Offer entitles you to access a subscription-based Ride Pass without payment for a period of one (1) month from the moment that you activate such Free Trial Offer by submitting your payment details (the “Free Trial Period”). By submitting your payment details, you accept the terms of the Free Trial Offer and consent to purchasing the paid subscription-based Ride Pass which will commence on the lapse of the Free Trial Period. Upon the lapse of the Free Trial Period, you will be automatically billed in accordance with the Rate in the Free Trial Offer (your first Billing Cycle and initial purchase date) and at the beginning of each Billing Cycle thereafter in accordance with the Billing Cycle in your Free Trial Offer and based on the initial purchase date. If you decide that you do not want to become a paying user of a subscription-based Ride Pass upon the lapse of the Free Trial Period, you must cancel your subscription-based Ride Pass prior to the end of the Free Trial Period in the Ride Pass section in the Lime App. Please note that you will not receive a notice from us that your Free Trial Period has ended or that the paid portion of your subscription-based Ride Pass has begun.
You may only use a Free Trial Offer once. A Free Trial Offer may only be valid in select locations, for select users, or applicable to specific products only, as determined by Lime and as set forth in the Free Trial Offer. Prior to your acceptance of this Free Trial Offer, Lime shall have the right to withdraw or to modify this Free Trial Offer at any time and with no liability to you.
