Price was higher than expected
Lime charges a fixed rate to unlock a vehicle and then charges per minute as you ride. Rates and promotions may vary by city, day of the week and the time of day. Rides may also be subject to a minimum charge. Please refer to your Lime app for exact costs by tapping a vehicle on the map or tapping ‘Scan to ride’ to see the rate. You may see a pre-authorisation hold on your card when you start a ride. This will show up as a "pending" charge on your bank statement. This hold ensures there are enough funds available to pay for your ride. We release this temporary authorisation immediately after your ride ends. Since they are not actual charges, you may not see a refund to your account, but instead an adjustment to your available balance or removal of the pending charge from your account. Our payment issuer will typically remove this charge within 7-10 business days. Your bank may take longer to reflect this release. We encourage you to check with your bank to understand their policies on pre-authorisation holds.
